This is basiclly a timeline about Texas. Sorry if these aren't in cronological order. 1947: There was a large chemical explosion in the Texas City harbor. 1682: The first Spanish settlement is settled in Ysleta near El Paso. 1963: John F. Kennedy is assasinated while driving in a parade in Dallas. 1848: The treaty of Hidalgo establishes the Mexican border. 1836-1845: Becomes an Independent Republic. Here are some of the People that have influenced Texas. Some of the indian people were Caddo, Atakapa, Karankawa, Coahuilltecan, Comanche, Lipan and Kiowa, Apaches, Tonkawa.
